Customer accounts

Customer accounts help you keep track of who buys from your store, their order history, and contact information. Understanding your customers helps you provide better service and grow your business.


Viewing customers

  1. From your admin, go to Customers
  2. Browse or search for customers
  3. Click a customer to see their profile

Customer profiles show:

  • Contact information
  • Order history
  • Total spent
  • Account creation date

Tip

Use the search function to quickly find customers by name, email, or order number.


Customer information

Each customer profile includes:

Contact details

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Default shipping address
  • Default billing address

Order history

  • All past orders
  • Order statuses
  • Total amount spent
  • Average order value

Linked accounts

Customer profiles show which sign-in methods are connected to their account. This section is read-only and updates automatically as customers sign in.

Supported providers displayed:

  • Google - Signed in with a Google account
  • Facebook - Signed in with a Facebook account
  • Microsoft Account - Signed in with a Microsoft account
  • Email - Signed in using an email magic link

Account consolidation

If a customer signs in with different methods that share the same email address, they are automatically linked to a single account. For example, a customer who first signed in with Google and later uses an email magic link will see both listed under Linked Accounts.


Editing customer information

  1. Open a customer profile
  2. Click Edit
  3. Update the information
  4. Click Save

You might need to update customer information when:

  • They've moved to a new address
  • They have a new phone number
  • You need to correct a typo

Important

Always verify with the customer before making changes to their account information.


Customer groups

Organise customers into groups for targeted marketing:

  • VIP - Your most valuable customers
  • Wholesale - Business customers with special pricing
  • New - First-time buyers

To add a customer to a group:

  1. Open their profile
  2. Click Add to group
  3. Select the group
  4. Save changes

Customer notes

Add private notes to customer profiles:

  1. Open a customer profile
  2. Scroll to the Notes section
  3. Add your note
  4. Click Save

Use notes to record:

  • Special requests or preferences
  • Communication history
  • Important account information

Tip

Good notes help your team provide consistent, personalized service across all customer interactions.
