Trending Products Report

The Trending Products report shows which products are performing best in your store, helping you make informed decisions about inventory, promotions, and product development.

Accessing the report

  1. Go to Reports in your admin portal
  2. Click ProductsTrending Products
  3. The report loads automatically with your current product performance

Understanding the metrics

The report displays key performance indicators for each product:

Recent sales

The number of times this product has been sold recently. This shows actual customer purchases and helps identify your bestsellers.

Use this to:

  • Identify products to restock
  • Spot unexpected bestsellers
  • Plan promotions around popular items

Recent views

How many times customers have viewed this product on your website. High views with low sales might indicate pricing issues or unclear product information.

Use this to:

  • Find products with high interest but low conversion
  • Identify products that need better descriptions or images
  • Spot opportunities to improve product pages

Product details

Additional information displayed:

  • Product image - Visual identification
  • Product name - Full product title
  • Price - Current selling price
  • Stock status - In Stock, Low Stock, or Out of Stock
  • Product status - Published or Draft

Filtering by store

If you operate multiple store locations, use the Store Code filter to view performance for a specific location.

  1. Click the Store Code dropdown
  2. Select a store location
  3. The report updates to show data for that location only

Note

The store code filter is automatically hidden if you only operate a single store location.

Sorting the report

Products are sorted by:

  1. Recent sales (highest first)
  2. Recent views (highest first)
  3. Product name (alphabetically)

This prioritises your actual bestsellers while also surfacing products with high customer interest.

Exporting data

Export the report for deeper analysis or record-keeping:

  1. Review the data and apply any filters
  2. Click Export CSV for a simple spreadsheet format
  3. Or click Export Excel for a formatted Excel file
  4. Save the file to your computer

Export includes:

  • Product SKU
  • Product name
  • Price
  • Recent sales count
  • Recent views count
  • Stock status
  • Product status

Tip

Export the report monthly to track how product performance changes over time. Compare exports to identify seasonal trends.

Using insights

Identify restocking priorities

Products with high recent sales should be restocked promptly to avoid stockouts. Sort by sales to see which items need attention first.

Improve low-converting products

If a product has many views but few sales, consider:

  • Reviewing the price point (is it competitive?)
  • Improving product images or descriptions
  • Adding customer reviews or testimonials
  • Highlighting unique features or benefits

Discover unexpected opportunities

Sometimes products you didn't expect become popular. Use this data to:

  • Increase inventory for surprise bestsellers
  • Create similar products or variations
  • Feature popular items more prominently on your website

Plan promotions

Use trending products in your marketing:

  • Feature bestsellers in email campaigns
  • Create bundles with popular items
  • Use high-view products in retargeting ads

Pagination

For large product catalogues, the report displays products across multiple pages:

  1. Use the page numbers at the bottom to navigate
  2. Or use Next and Previous buttons
  3. Each page shows a manageable number of products
