Fulfilling orders
Fulfillment is the process of preparing and shipping orders to your customers. When you fulfill an order, your customer receives a notification with their tracking information.
Fulfilling an order
- From your admin, go to Orders
- Open an order that's ready to ship
- Click Fulfill Order
- Enter the tracking number (if available)
- Select the shipping carrier
- Click Fulfill
Tip
If you're shipping multiple packages, you can add multiple tracking numbers to a single order.
Partial fulfillment
If you need to ship items separately:
- Open the order
- Click Fulfill Items
- Select only the items you're shipping now
- Add tracking information
- Click Fulfill
The remaining items will stay unfulfilled until you're ready to ship them.
Printing packing slips
Include packing slips with your shipments:
- Open an order
- Click Print > Packing Slip
- Print the document to include in the package
Packing slips show:
- Order number
- Customer name
- Items in the shipment
- Shipping address
Updating tracking information
If you need to update or add tracking after fulfillment:
- Open the order
- Scroll to the Fulfillment section
- Click Edit tracking
- Update the tracking number or carrier
- Save your changes
The customer will receive an updated notification with the new tracking information.
Tip
Accurate tracking information reduces "Where is my order?" inquiries and builds customer confidence.
Fulfillment statuses
Track where orders are in the fulfillment process:
- Unfulfilled - Not yet shipped
- Partially fulfilled - Some items shipped
- Fulfilled - All items shipped
- Delivered - Confirmed delivery (when tracking shows delivery)
