Store policies

Store policies let you highlight your promotional policies and service guarantees to customers. These appear on your storefront to build trust and encourage purchases.

What are store policies?

Store policies are promotional messages that showcase your customer benefits:

• Free Shipping - Highlight free delivery offers
• Easy Returns - Showcase your return policy
• Satisfaction Guarantee - Build confidence with guarantees
• Secure Checkout - Reassure customers about security
• Customer Support - Promote your support availability

These policies typically appear in prominent areas of your store, like the footer or checkout page.

Accessing store policies

1. From your admin, go to Settings > Store Policies
2. If you serve multiple countries, select the country you want to configure
3. Click Add Policy to create a new policy

Creating a policy

1. Click Add Policy
2. Enter the policy details:
   • Name - The policy heading (e.g., "Free Shipping")
   • Description - Brief explanation (e.g., "On orders over €50")
   • Icon - Choose an icon to represent the policy
   • URL (optional) - Link to a detailed page
   • External Link - Check if the URL points to an external site
3. After adding or editing your policies, click Save Changes on the Store Policies page to apply them.

Once you click Save Changes, the policy will appear on your storefront.

Choosing icons

Select an icon from the dropdown that visually represents your policy:

• TruckIcon (🚚) - Shipping and delivery
• ShieldCheckIcon (🛡️) - Security and protection
• HeartIcon (❤️) - Satisfaction and care
• StarIcon (⭐) - Quality guarantee
• LockClosedIcon (🔒) - Secure checkout
• PhoneIcon (📞) - Customer support
• CreditCardIcon (💳) - Payment options
• GiftIcon (🎁) - Special offers

The icon dropdown shows the icon identifier names. Icons help customers quickly identify what each policy offers.

Linking to detail pages

For policies that need more explanation, you can add a link:

1. Create a detailed page using the page builder
2. In your policy settings, enter the page URL
3. Customers can click the policy to read the full details

For example, link "30-Day Returns" to a page explaining your return process.

Managing policies for different countries

If you sell to multiple countries, you can set different policies for each:

1. Go to Settings > Store Policies
2. Select the country from the dropdown
3. Add or edit policies specific to that country
4. Save your changes

This lets you tailor policies to local shipping options, return regulations, or language preferences.

• Name: Free Shipping
• Description: On all orders over €50

Easy Returns

• Name: 30-Day Returns
• Description: Hassle-free returns within 30 days

Satisfaction Guarantee

• Name: 100% Satisfaction
• Description: Love it or your money back

• Name: Secure Checkout
• Description: Encrypted and PCI compliant
• Icon: 🔒 Lock

Best practices

• Be specific - "Free shipping on orders over €50" is better than just "Free shipping"
• Keep it honest - Only promise what you can deliver
• Update regularly - Remove outdated policies or seasonal offers
• Test links - Make sure policy URLs work correctly
• Match your brand - Use language that fits your store's tone
