Store Settings

Ads and analytics

The ads and analytics configuration lets you connect third-party tracking and advertising platforms to your store. Enable the services you use to measure traffic, understand customer behaviour, and optimise your advertising campaigns.

Accessing ads and analytics settings

  1. From your admin, go to Settings > Ads & Analytics
  2. Enable the integrations you want to use
  3. Enter the required IDs or credentials for each enabled integration
  4. Click Save

Tip

You only need to configure the services you actively use. Leave others disabled to keep your store lightweight.

Google Analytics

Track website traffic, user behaviour, and conversion data with Google Analytics.

Setting up Google Analytics

  1. Toggle Google Analytics Enabled to on
  2. Enter your Google Analytics Measurement ID (e.g., G-XXXXXXXXXX)
  3. Click Save

Finding your Measurement ID

  1. Go to Google Analytics
  2. Navigate to Admin > Data Streams
  3. Select your web stream
  4. Copy the Measurement ID starting with G-

Google Analytics scripts load automatically on your store once enabled and the customer has given analytics consent.

Google Tag Manager

Manage multiple tracking tags from a single interface with Google Tag Manager (GTM). GTM is always loaded when enabled and relies on its own built-in consent management to control which tags fire.

Setting up Google Tag Manager

  1. Toggle Google Tag Manager Enabled to on
  2. Enter your GTM Container ID (e.g., GTM-XXXXXXX)
  3. Click Save

Finding your Container ID

  1. Go to Google Tag Manager
  2. Select your container
  3. Copy the Container ID from the top of the page (starts with GTM-)

Tip

Configure consent mode within your GTM container to control which tags fire before and after consent is granted. GTM handles consent management independently from the store's cookie consent banner.

Facebook Pixel

Track conversions and build audiences for Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns.

Setting up Facebook Pixel

  1. Toggle Facebook Pixel Enabled to on
  2. Enter your Facebook Pixel ID (a numeric ID)
  3. Click Save

Finding your Pixel ID

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager
  2. Select your Pixel
  3. Copy the numeric Pixel ID

Facebook Pixel scripts load on your store when enabled and the customer has given marketing consent.

Facebook Conversions API

Send conversion events directly from your server to Facebook for more reliable tracking that is not affected by browser ad blockers.

Setting up Facebook Conversions API

  1. Toggle Facebook Conversions API Enabled to on
  2. Enter your Facebook Conversions API Access Token
  3. Click Save

Important

Your access token is stored securely and is never displayed after saving. If you need to update it, enter a new token. Leaving the field blank keeps the existing token.

Generating an access token

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager
  2. Select your Pixel
  3. Navigate to Settings > Conversions API
  4. Generate a new access token

Facebook Catalogue Export

Allow Facebook to import your product catalogue for use in dynamic ads, shops, and product tagging.

Setting up catalogue export

  1. Toggle Facebook Catalogue Export Enabled to on
  2. Set an Export Password to protect the export endpoint
  3. Click Save

Once enabled, your product catalogue is available at a password-protected URL that you provide to Facebook as a data feed source.

Adding the feed to Facebook

  1. Go to Meta Commerce Manager
  2. Select your catalogue
  3. Add a new Data Feed source
  4. Enter the export URL provided in your admin settings
  5. Include the password as a query parameter

Tip

Choose a strong password for your catalogue export. Anyone with the URL and password can access your product data.

Microsoft Clarity

Understand how customers interact with your store using session recordings and heatmaps.

Setting up Microsoft Clarity

  1. Toggle Microsoft Clarity Enabled to on
  2. Enter your Clarity Project ID
  3. Click Save

Finding your Project ID

  1. Go to Microsoft Clarity
  2. Select your project
  3. Copy the Project ID from the project settings

Microsoft Clarity loads automatically on your store once enabled. It operates independently of cookie consent preferences for basic functionality.

Your store's cookie consent system works with these integrations:

  • Analytics consent - Required for Google Analytics
  • Marketing consent - Required for Facebook Pixel
  • Always loaded - Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity

Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel scripts are only loaded after the customer grants the appropriate consent. Google Tag Manager is always loaded and manages consent internally through its own consent mode. Microsoft Clarity operates in a no-consent mode by default.

Permissions

Ads and analytics configuration requires the Store Configuration permission. Users without this permission will not see the settings menu item or be able to access the configuration page.
